SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS
Join us for our Winter Vacation Tour in 2025 to South Padre Island. We are looking forward to going back to the Isla Grand Beach Resort on South Padre Island. Since 1959 the Isla Grand Beach Resort has been the premier resort along the Texas Gulf Coast. Located right on the beach, in the southern portion of South Padre Island, the Isla Grand Beach Resort is easy to find and conveniently located near all of South Padre’s top attractions. This beachfront resort offers 10 acres of lush tropical foliage giving the appearance of an oasis-like paradise. Isla Grand has great onsite amenities such as two swimming pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, restaurants, a nightclub, gift shop, outdoor-burger shack grill, coffee shop, activities and more.
Our first night out will be in Tulsa, OK at the Hampton Inn & Suites Tulsa South-Bixby, OK. While in Fort Worth, we will have free time at the Fort Worth Stockyards to look around and also experience the historic “Cattle Drive”. Our lodging this night will be the Drury Plaza Hotel in Richardson, TX. On the third day, on our way to San Antonio, we’ll make a stop at Magnolia Market at The Silos in Waco, TX. We’ll arrive mid-afternoon in San Antonio, TX at the Drury Inn & Suites on The Riverwalk, our home for the next three nights. The vision of Robert H. H. Hugman, a young architect, the San Antonio River Walk offers you the opportunity to relax, play, and reconnect. Stroll the lush riverside paths lined with towering Cypress trees, restaurants, hotels, shops, museums, and recreation spots. Soak in the history and ambiance of this authentic San Antonio destination. While in San Antonio, we’ll go on a day trip to some of the missions and then have lunch at the Historic Market Square (El Mercado). On our way to South Padre, we’ll visit King Ranch. This will be a driving tour through the ranch, and we’ll learn about the legacy of the Santa Gertrudis cattle breed. We’ll also give you some information on activities, restaurants and also some of the history of the South Padre area. We’ll be at the Isla Grand Resort in South Padre for 9 nights.
After our wonderful stay at South Padre, we’ll head for home, overnighting at the Drury Inn in Austin, TX, and the Drury Inn & Suites in Joplin, MO. Your winter vacation tour includes: 7 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 6 dinners and we have purchased $200 in Grand Bucks for each person for use at the Isla Grand Resort (cannot be used in the gift shop) This will be a relaxing, yet exciting winter vacation tour. GENERAL INFORMATION
Reservations – RESERVATIONS SHOULD BE MADE THROUGH OUR OFFICE BY CALLING 217-228-8785 OR (TOLL FREE) 1-800-805-8766. If you are traveling with someone (whether it be a day trip or multiple day trip), please tell us at the time of your reservation, so we will be able to seat you together on the bus and at the event.
Payments – PAYMENTS SHOULD BE SENT TO GOODWIN TOURS, 819 OHIO ST, QUINCY, IL 62301. After reservations are made we will send a registration form, which should be completed and returned with your deposit within 14 days to confirm your registration.
Multiple Day Trips – Prices are per person, double occupancy. The single, triple, or quad price is available upon request. After reservations are made, we will send a registration form, which should be completed and returned with your deposit within 14 days to confirm your reservation. Please be sure to sign the form. On most tours, the balance is due no later than 60 days prior to departure. For tours that include airline tickets and/or cruise fares, we will inform you of the deposit due, the balance due date, and cancellation deadline at the time of registration. On multiple day tours, we rotate seats daily. Luggage handling is included on most overnight trips 2 nights or longer for one large bag per person. An itinerary, luggage tags, etc. will be mailed to you prior to departure.
Day Trips – Prices are per person. Full payment is due 60 days before departure. For some day trips, payment may be required sooner than 60 days out. Seating on the motorcoach and at events is based on date of receipt of payment. Seat tags will be put up on the motorcoach in payment order from front to back.
Motorcoaches – Motorcoaches are scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure with immediate boarding. All motorcoaches are strictly Non-Smoking. All motorcoaches are bathroom-equipped; however, we make stops often and ask that passengers use the facilities at these break stops.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Day Trips: There will be no refund for cancellations made within 60 days prior to departure, unless we have a wait list and are able to resell your seat. If that occurs, there will be a $20 administrative fee.
Multiple Day Trips: The following CANCELLATION FEES will apply: 61 days or more prior to departure: full refund less any non-refundable expenses; 60 days or less prior to departure: NO REFUND -- We recommend travel insurance. A Schedule of Insurance Coverage will be sent with each registration form. If you wish to purchase travel insurance, please call our office (not Travelex Insurance Services). Also, be sure to check your intention to purchase or not to purchase insurance and sign in the insurance section of the registration. This insurance information must be completely filled out and signed to process your registration.
