On our first day, Wednesday, October 7th, we travel to Dubuque, IA, arriving mid-afternoon, allowing free time to explore the Downtown Dubuque area. We'll overnight in Dubuque at the Grand Harbor Resort. Lodging guests also have free admittance to the enclosed waterpark, so bring your swimwear along! Grand Harbor Resort is located on the banks of the Mississippi River within walking distance of the Diamond Jo Casino, National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, Stone Cliff Winery, and the Grand River Center. Also, we have rented some lanes at the Diamond Jo Casino Bowling Alley for the afternoon. It's free for those who would like to join us. Bring socks for your rented shoes if you like.
